Sungrounds

Sungrounds, Avening is a mixed tenure scheme comprising of 9 affordable houses and 5 shared ownership dwellings. The scheme is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and comprised very difficult topography.

The scheme was the first step in reviving what had been classified as a ‘dying village’ and after a difficult planning application and committee meeting planning was granted.

The site held many challenges especially surrounding topography, drainage, ecology and visibility.

Sungrounds was taken up to planning by our team with stage 4 and beyond being completed by others.
